Unleash Natural Seduction with Every Wrap

This exquisite dubbing material is engineered to mimic the subtle, natural profiles that predatory fish find irresistible. The unique blend of possum guard hair and soft underfur creates a buggy, segmented appearance that perfectly imitates aquatic insects and baitfish, ensuring your flies stand out in the water.

• Buggy Texture: The expertly balanced mix of coarse guard hairs and fine underfur generates a spiky, organic profile that pulses and moves naturally in the water, mimicking live prey.
• Effortless Application: The fine underfur adheres seamlessly to your tying thread, while the guard hairs provide natural segmentation and lifelike movement without clumping, making it a pleasure to work with.
• Unmatched Versatility: Ideal for tying realistic bodies on nymphs, wet flies, and small streamers. Experiment by blending with synthetic dubbings for bespoke colourations and unique fly patterns tailored to local conditions.
• Natural Movement: The varying lengths and textures of the possum fibres create a lifelike shimmer and undulation, attracting attention from wary fish.
• Durability: Natural fibres offer excellent durability, ensuring your flies hold up to the rigours of casting and fighting fish.

For flies that truly come alive beneath the surface, Wapsi Awesome Possum Dubbing is the undisputed choice. While synthetics offer bright colours, this natural blend excels at replicating subtle, lifelike underwater profiles that fool educated fish. On the water, we've found its segmented appearance and natural drift are key triggers, especially on slow, clear water. If you're serious about elevating your nymph and wet fly game for Australian conditions, add this to your tying bench immediately.
