The EJ Todd Flair and Thumb Bobbin Holder, are used for a variety of applications both fishing and non-fishing related including arts and crafts, rod building and infamously fly tying. The round penny like in the middle of the Thumb Bobbin makes it easier to hold the bobbin while wrapping the thread onto the fly. The tube is also flared at both ends on both models to help not damage the thread while working.
