The Tiegear Hard Terra Peg 2 Pack is a heavy-duty screw-in peg solution designed specifically for the most challenging Australian terrains. While the name often gets associated with "sand" in casual conversation, it's important to clarify that the Hard Terra is technically an all-rounder for grass, dirt, gravel, and rock, whereas the Soft Terra (nylon) is the designated sand specialist.

Key Technical Features

  • Forged 304 Stainless Steel: These pegs are built for maximum durability, ensuring they won't bend or rust when driven into compacted outback tracks or rocky riverbeds.

  • Masonry-Style Tip: The tip is designed to act like a drill bit, boring into the ground as the aggressive spiral thread anchors itself for a rock-solid hold.

  • 19mm Hex Head: The head matches the standard size used for caravan and camper trailer stabiliser legs. This allows you to use your existing 19mm socket or the Tiegear Terra Driver for a seamless setup.

  • Rotating Double-Hooked Head: This clever feature allows you to align the hook perfectly with your tie-down direction. Because it has two hooks, you can even secure two different ropes (e.g., from an awning and a gazebo) to a single peg.

  • Length & Weight: Each peg is 27cm long and weighs approximately 200g, providing significant leverage and holding power for high-stress points like large awnings.

Specifications

  • Quantity: 2 Pegs per pack.

  • Material: Forged 304 Stainless Steel & UV-stabilised reinforced nylon.

  • Length: 27cm.

  • Shaft Diameter: 0.9cm (1.5cm at the auger/thread).

  • Head Size: 19mm.

  • Note: This pack does not include a driver bit. It requires a 19mm Terra Driver or a standard 19mm socket and power drill.

Best For

  • Hard Ground & Rock: Where standard plastic or thin metal pegs would fail or bend.

  • High-Load Tie Downs: Securing the main corners of a 180 or 270-degree awning where tension is highest.

  • Caravan & Camper Setups: Ideal for those who already carry a drill for their stabiliser legs and want to eliminate the need for a hammer.
